DESCRIPTION:The Fairfax County Valor Awards recognize the remarkable achievements in service of our community's dedicated first responders.\n\n\n\nSince 1979\, members of our Fairfax County Police Department\, Fire & Rescue Department\, the Fairfax County Office of the Sheriff\, the Herndon Police Department\, and the Vienna Police Department have been honored with the Lifesaving Award\, the Certificate of Valor\,  or the Bronze\, Silver\, or Gold Medal of Honor for exceeding the call of duty. The Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce is proud to host this prestigious event. \n\n\n\nJoin us in celebrating these brave men and women by supporting the 47th Annual Fairfax County Valor Awards on April 7\, 2025 for a luncheon ceremony at Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles at 11:30 AM.\n\n \nWe are pleased to announce our Master of Ceremony... \n\nJoseph Olmo\, NBC News4 Reporter\n\n\n\n\n\n         \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nJoseph Olmo is a reporter for NBC Washington. Every morning\, on News4 TODAY\, he helps viewers start their day with headlines from across the DMV. Often times\, Olmo reports from the same scenes our heroic first responders show up to. Every day\, he sees the bravery and selflessness it takes from the public safety professionals to confront very complex & dangerous situations.
