SUMMARY:Women's Leadership Tea
DESCRIPTION:GRCC Women's Leadership Tea\n\nHOW MANY AMERICAN SUFFRAGISTS CAN YOU NAME?\n\nA Fascinating Presentation on the Untold Story of Women's Fight for the Vote \n\n\nDid you know... \n\n\n More than five million women (and some very smart men) formally advocated for women's voting rights over a period of more than 70 years? \n	Both moderate and militant suffrage groups pursued different strategies to win the vote and their leaders strongly disagreed with one another? \n	Scores of women were illegally arrested\, imprisoned for up to seven months\, and subjected to harsh punishment in deplorable & unsanitary conditions? \n	Have you heard of the Night of Terror? \n\n\n\n\nJoin us for an inspiring afternoon of tea\, networking and history as we explore one of the most significant leadership movements in American history. At this special Women's Leadership Tea\, featured speaker Patricia "Pat" Wirth\, former CEO and current Docent Coordinator of the Turning Point Suffragist Memorial\, will share the remarkable and often untold stories fo the leaders\, activists\, and everyday women who transformed American democracy. Through compelling stories and historical insights\, Pat will reveal the challenges faced by three generations of women who fought tirelessly to secure the right to vote and fully exercise their rights as American citizens. Their journey was marked by determination\, sacrifice\, disagreement\, courage and an unwavering belief that change was possible. \n\n\n\nMore than a fascinating look at our nation's history\, this presentation offers powerful lessons in leadership\, advocacy\, perseverance\, coalition-building and creating meaningful change in the face of adversity. Whether you are a business leader\, entrepreneur\, professional\, student\, community advocate or history enthusiast\, you'll leave with a deeper appreciation for the women whose efforts helped shape the nation we know today and the courage to create lasting change. \n\n\n\n Their Courage Changed a Nation. Their Stories Still Inspire. \n\n Register Today to Secure Your Seat! \n\n Space is Limited & Available on a First-Come\, First-Served Basis.\n\n \n\n Meet our Featured Speaker\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPatricia "Pat" Depew Wirth is an internationally recognized\, award-winning business leader who spent a decade in corporate America before she became an entrepreneur in the Automotive Service Industry for 30 years.
