DESCRIPTION:Join us for an interactive and fun learning experience on how to advance your career and get to know your colleagues more!\n\n\n\nWe will explore DiSC \, a behavioral assessment designed to help you better understand your communication style and that of those around you (like if you are that person who likes to chat first when you enter someone's office or prefer to get straight to the point\, for example).  You'll get to hear the analysis of our YP Co-Chairs\, Kelly McNerney and Colin May DiSC assessments\, along with GRCC President\, Charles Kapur's!\n\n \n\nOur goal is to help you work more effectively with others especially cross-generationally and up the ladder. Through personal insights into your own strengths and challenges\, you will learn to better relate to others.\n\n\n\nAsk your peers\, HR professional\, management\, and leadership team to join you.\n\n\n\nAbout Our Speaker\n\n \n\nKaren Cleveland\n\nPresident & CEO\, Leadership Fairfax\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKaren Cleveland - Karen is the President and CEO of Leadership Fairfax\, a community leadership development organization. Prior to joining Leadership Fairfax\, Karen was the principle of Cleveland Group\, LLC and Cleveland Coaching Group\, Reston\, VA based companies specializing in helping leaders\, teams and organizations identify and develop their full leadership potential.  \n\n \n\nThrough her work with LFI and Cleveland Group she utilizes a holistic approach that includes individual and/or team coaching along with the use of effective industry tools and methodology. Karen's specialty is working with executives and emerging leaders who have already attained a high level of personal and professional success yet recognize their need for continued leadership development and personal growth.  She helps them develop sustainable practices and reach the place where possibilities and opportunities abound.\n\n \n\nPreviously Karen served as President & CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Northern VA where she was known as a visionary leader and was credited with growing the organization into one of the most respected charitable organizations in the Metro DC area. Karen also served as the first Executive Director/CEO of the Reston Chamber of Commerce and in executive positions with the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Sales & Marketing Companies\, a division of the Grocery Manufacturers of America.  \n\n \n\nKaren received her coaching certification from Georgetown University and is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati.  She is an PCC ICF certified coach.
