About Us
Reston USE (Useful Services Exchange) is a community-based organization where members exchange
hours of service for time credits they can then use with another member — essentially a time bank.
Established in 1975, USE enables neighbors to help one another by performing small services
without an exchange of currency. Members live in Reston, Herndon, and nearby areas.
USE maintains a database of members and their service offers. Members can post their
requests there or on their private Facebook page or contact members directly.
The beauty of USE is that services can occur at a time and place agreed upon by both parties.
Membership fees are $15 annually per individual or $25 per household.
